The historic Library setting is showcased in the decor and ambiance of the lower level dining room. The room has a stage from which James Whitcomb Riley used to read to school children. The cuisine is Italian inspired with innovative American accents. Ian Harrison, executive Chef and Owner, changes the menu seasonally. He has built a wood fired Roman style oven in the herb garden, behind the restaurant. Carnegie's makes all of their bread in the oven daily. The Sous-Chef, Todd Woods, has been with the restaurant since it's inception. Carnegie's is a culinary oasis in this part of the midwest, and continues to please guests Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm until 9pm for dinner and Tuesday - Friday 11:00 am-1:30 pm for lunch. Carnegie's is a smoke free establishment and takes all major credit cards. Following are our menu and directions to the restaurant.

DINNER MENU

Tuesday ~Saturday 5-9pm.

Appetizers

Crab Stuffed Shrimp
Jumbo gulf shrimp stuffed with blue lump crabmeat
served with a white wine butter sauce…$15

Heirloom Tomato Napoleon
Garden tomatoes layered with basil, provolone cheese and red onion, lightly torched and served with olives
olive oil and balsamic vinegar…$8

Portobello Tart
Portobello mushrooms, spinach, bacon, and caramelized
red onions served in a puff pastry shell
with a wild mushroom cream sauce…$9

Soups

Cream of Roasted Red bell Pepper...$6

Soup of the day...$5

Salads

House
Mixed greens wrapped with a cucumber, with tomatoes, croutons, parmesan and our House vinaigrette…$6

Insalata Romana
Romaine and radicchio lettuces with mangoes, fennel
and a citrus vinaigrette…$7

Mediterranean Salad
Mixed greens with feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, red onion, artichoke hearts and a parmesan, oregano dressing…$8

Entrees

Beef Tenderloin Medallions
Served with pureed potatoes, a roasted roma tomato, green beans sautéed with onions and tomatoes and a red wine sauce…$28

Cowboy Ribeye New York Flat Iron
16 oz. $36 12 oz. $28 8 oz. $20

All Steaks Grilled and served with a twice baked potato
grilled vegetables and a red wine herb sauce

Citrus Grilled Chicken
With ratatouille, potato gratin, and sautéed greens, finished with a sauce of lemon, white wine and butter…$17

Pork Tenderloin Medallions
Pork Tenderloin, sauteed with bacon and thyme, glazed with balsamic and honey, served with roasted root vegetables, herbed couscous and a tomato reduction…$20

Roasted Salmon
Salmon, layered with potatoes and herbs, roasted
served with tomato and herb risotto, grilled
vegetables and a beet sauce…Market Price

Jumbo Sea Scallops
Pan seared Sea Scallops served with sweet potato polenta, steamed brocolli and a bacon, shallots, white wine pan sauce…$26

Carnegie's is located on 100 West North Street, in Greenfield Indiana.
